THE BEST OF EGYPT AND JORDAN - ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS
February 13 to February 26, 2010

Travel Broker Tours invites you to join Louise Brown on an exciting 14 day adventure of Egypt and Jordan!

Space is Limited.....Book Now!

Our Best of Egypt and Jordan tour will give you the best opportunity to explore two of the oldest civilizations in the world. Egypt's history is rich with events and its land still hides a lot of mystery. Many of the monuments and temples constructed thousands of years ago are still standing, and are continuously maintained to preserve them. A survey of existing artifacts and archeological sites of ancient Egypt reveals an impressive inventory of Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Jewish, Christian, and Islamic heritage and cultures.

Jordan has seen numerous civilizations, including such ancient eastern civilizations as the Akkadian, Assyrian, Babylonian, and Persian empires. Jordan was for a time part of Pharaonic Egypt, and spawned the native Nabatean civilization which left rich archaeological remains at Petra. Cultures from the west also left their mark, such as the Macedonian, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Turkish empires. Since the seventh century the area has been under Muslim and Arab cultures, with the exception of a brief period when the west of the area formed part of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem and a short time under British rule.

Once the waters reach the Dead Sea they are land-locked and have nowhere to go, so they evaporate, leaving behind a dense, rich, cocktail of salts and minerals. Petra is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest attraction.
